Beyond Belief?

Scott Lehr at Southbridge Fellowship read these at the end of a recent service.   Very good word!

The question is not do we agree with them in our minds but do we go beyond mental belief and live in these truths?

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God–
Ephesians 1:3-5 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.  4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love  5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—
Colossians 1:14 God has purchased our freedom with his blood and has forgiven all our sins.
Ephesians 2:18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Ephesians 2:10 10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
2 Timothy 1:7 7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
Romans 8:1-2 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,  2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death.
1 Peter 2:11 11 Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.
1 Peter 2:9-10 9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.  10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
(All verses from the NIV, except Colossians 1:14 from the New Living Translation).
